ดร.วรนุช ดีละมัน อาจารย์ประจำสาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีสิ่งแวดล้อม คณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลพระนคร ได้รับโอกาสให้เข้าร่วมโครงการ Airborne and Satellite Investigation of Asian Air Quality (ASIA-AQ) ขององค์การบริหารการบินและอวกาศแห่งชาติ หรือ องค์การนาซา (NASA) ร่วมกับ สถาบันวิจัยดาราศาสตร์แห่งชาติ (องค์การมหาชน) และสำนักงานพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีอวกาศและภูมิสารสนเทศ (องค์การมหาชน) วัตถุประสงค์ของโครงการ เพื่อทำการบินวิจัยศึกษาสภาพคุณภาพอากาศในประเทศไทยระหว่างวันที่ 15 – 25 มีนาคม 2567 โดยเครื่องบิน DC-8 บินสำรวจสารเคมีในชั้นบรรยากาศตั้งแต่สนามบินอู่ตะเภาถึงสนามบินเชียงใหม่ ขณะที่ Gulfstream III (G-III) ทำการบินสำรวจคุณภาพอากาศจากระยะไกลบริเวณกรุงเทพมหานคร ผลลัพธ์สำคัญจากโครงการนี้คือ ข้อมูลเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับคุณภาพอากาศในประเทศไทย และการเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการตรวจติดตามและวิจัยคุณภาพอากาศในอนาคตต่อไป
Dr. Woranuch Deelaman, from the Division of Environmental Science and Technology, Faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon, had the opportunity to participate in the Airborne and Satellite Investigation of Asian Air Quality (ASIA-AQ) project by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), in collaboration with the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) and the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISDA). The objective of this project is to conduct airborne research to study air quality in Thailand from March 15th to 25th, 2024, with the DC-8 aircraft surveying atmospheric chemicals from U-Tapao Airport to Chiang Mai Airport, while the Gulfstream III (G-III) conducts air quality reconnaissance from long distances around Bangkok. The important results of this project will provide in-depth data on air quality in Thailand and enhance the capabilities for future air quality monitoring and research.
